presentation

It was created in 1997, and its task is the management and administration of the local projects, which are financed by the EC Funds. Within this service, we deal with the search for information about announcements, preparation of candidacies, looking for partners, management and monitoring of approved projects, the economic and financial control and their economic justification.

Europe Day Some projects focused on the development of the city have been created and developed together with the different local services; TERRA Model Projects, URBAN I Community Initiative, and also several projects with the Local Operation Programme, which manages the Treasury Department in Spain. Nowadays, Murcia takes part of the project Innocomerce that tries to find innovative tools to support the small business in the city.

We have worked on projects that promote the development of country areas, within the programme PRODER and in the IC Leader+, or projects that provide the awareness of the cultural heritage of the towns and cities of the European Union, within the programme Cultura 2000.

The employment policy is one of the priorities for the EU and for the countries that form part of it. Therefore, programmes to promote and improve the quality of jobs have aroused the interest of our City Council also. Since 1997, some projects have been developed within the framework of the Community Initiative of Employment, and later on in EQUAL and in Total Subsidy of the European Social Fund, which belongs to the Operation Programme for the promotion of work in Spain .
